Raised in Columbia, S.C., Carey Roberts grew up with a passion for sports, cars and being outdoors, but she also admits she’s still quite girly when it comes to shopping. Carey‘s other interests include travel, reading, charity work, visiting museums, and spending time with her family and friends. One of her greatest passions is college football, rooting for her alma mater, the University of South Carolina.
Carey’s favorite charitable organizations are the non-profits that help servicemen and women while overseas and when they come home. “I come from a military family, I’ve had several friends in various branches of the armed service, and I even used to live near a large Army base,” Carey said. “Just because these brave men and women seem fearless and strong, doesn’t mean they aren’t hurting and need help.”
Carey hopes that her time at A. S. Charity Fundraising will give her a chance to help raise money for as many worthy causes as she can.
“I was drawn to A. S. Charity Fundraising for several reasons,” Carey said. “I really enjoyed seeing the diverse organizations our company works with, as well as the overwhelming letters of thanks from the charities. Being able to see the smiles of those who benefit from the money raised at the auctions we help support makes me remember how much good there is in the world.”
